What will you be doing?
This role sits within the Great Britain Cycling Team (GBCT), the country’s most successful Olympic and Paralympic team in history. Now is an incredibly exciting year to join GBCT. Fresh off the back of winning 11 Olympic and 22 Paralympic medals at the most recent Games in Paris, as well as having recently celebrated 20 years of the GBCT pathway, we are a team with high ambitions to continue this legacy at LA 2028 and beyond.
A key focus of this role is providing day-to-day aerodynamic support in the GBCT Wind Tunnel and other testing facilities. The successful candidate will also support the Position Optimisation processes, ensuring that athletes achieve the most aerodynamically efficient positions while maintaining biomechanical effectiveness.
What we’re looking for:
The Great Britain Cycling Team is seeking a passionate and talented Junior Aerodynamicist to support the team’s performance objectives by contributing to aerodynamic and position optimisation research, testing, and optimisation. This role offers the opportunity to work at the cutting edge of cycling technology, collaborating with world-class athletes, coaches, and performance engineers to enhance aerodynamic efficiency across multiple cycling disciplines.
To be successful in this role you will be:

You look for different and better ways of improving performance through the application of engineering and aerodynamics. You have an appetite to learn from other sports, coaches and environments.
