About you

The Sport & Participation Operations Officer plays a pivotal role in enhancing team operations by providing pro-active, efficient business support. Sport & Participation team develop and deliver a range of activity across Sport, Participation, Talent and Education. This role is fundamental in ensuring that delivery, services and projects are delivered on time, efficiently and with excellent attention to detail.

We are keen to hear from candidates with Business Administration and Operations experience. You should be able to demonstrate practical experience of working within a team environment, implementing operational processes, building excellent relationships and supporting multiple projects concurrently. Candidates should be confident with administration systems, IT tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and communicating with stakeholders.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide operational and business administrative support to the directorate across a number of areas.
  •  Lead on the implementation of robust processes and operations delivery across the Directorate.
  • Provide business administrative support for internal and external meetings– agenda preparation, meeting pack preparation, minute taking (where required) and approval, communicating events to diaries as required.
  • Support the coordination of high-level reports and presentations for the directorate.
  • Organise and co-ordinate events for the Directorate, liaising closely with relevant employees, venues and suppliers to ensure each event successfully meets the brief and budget, minimising costs whilst maintaining high standards of presentation, service and participant enjoyment.
  • Support Directorate operations relating to finance, procurement, data management and protection, Insight, customer services and IT.
  • Work cross functionally ensuring work streams and projects are co-ordinated and are compliant with the organisation’s policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively across the Directorate, ensuring organisational values are embedded into the actions, culture and behaviours of the team.
  • Support the project management of various work streams.
  • Lead on embedding excellent customer service and service delivery across the Directorate.
