Role Title: Head of Finance Operations (hybrid)
Salary : Up to £65,000 per annum dependent on experience

As the Head of Finance Operations you will lead and manage the finance operations team to ensure efficient, compliant, and effective financial processes across British Cycling. This role is presents a great opportunity for someone who is both comfortable with getting stuck into the operations and production of accounts, whilst being able to work with the Business Services Director on strategic matters.
We would like to hear from candidates that either available to start immediately or in January 2025.
About you
- CCAB recognised qualification – ACA, ACCA, CIMA and significant proven post qualification experience in a similar role
- Experience of membership organisations or sport's governing body and knowledge of government funding – desirable but not essential
- Experience of leading a finance team
What will you be doing?
- To support the Finance team, delivering a high-quality finance accounting service to the organisation.
- Work with the Business Services Director in the modelling of activity, income and expenditure, in relation to complex business case developments and funding proposals, both internal and external to the organisation. To challenge assumptions with relevant individuals and be responsible for ensuring that financial modelling is robust, accurate and in line with overall organisational objectives, assessing risks and identifying risk mitigating actions as required.
- Developing financial reporting processes to provide the business with information required to monitor financial targets.
- Lead and manage the performance of the team, creating an environment where people are clear of what is expected of them and have the performance feedback and support that they need to continuously improve.
- Manage relationship with external auditors to facilitate a smooth year end audit process
- Review and update in line with best practice the organisation’s internal financial procedures and controls and maintain the Financial Procedures Manual
