Role overview
British Cycling is hiring a full-time Marketing Lead to join our marketing team based in Manchester. This is a new role which will sit within our Brand and Engagement Directorate, working alongside our talented communications, content, creative, customer engagement and membership teams to enhance our brand narrative, strengthen our engagement, and increase our reach and relevance.
As a senior member of the marketing team, you will work collaboratively with Customer Engagement, Content and Creative Leads in developing highly effective marketings plans that drive commercial revenue, build brand equity and enable everyone to experience the joy of cycling. As part of our new strategy, we are developing and taking new consumer- and fan-centred products to market, which offers an unprecedented opportunity for the successful candidate to unleash their creativity and entrepreneurialism.
You will lead our Marketing Managers in delivering against objectives, and have close working relationships across the whole of the business. Experience in consumer marketing, the ability to prioritise, and a drive for results is essential for this role.

About you
Technical capabilities and experience
- 7 to 10 years’ experience in marketing roles, driving awareness and conversion as well as experience in people management.
- Strong knowledge and experience in product marketing with a track record driving revenue through marketing activity.
- From demand generation to lead generation and direct response, you understand when to deploy marketing strategies to meet objectives, driving customers through each phase of the funnel.
- Ability to manage output across a broad landscape of competing priorities.
- Use data and insights to guide strategy at every stage of the marketing process.
- A customer-first approach. You know and understand personas and prioritise their needs to guide output.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail.
