What will you be doing?
As our Video Content Producer you will experience the impact that cycling has on people’s lives first-hand, capturing moments and sharing stories to engage audiences and inspire others through highly effective content.
You will plan, shoot and edit video content pieces to meet British Cycling objectives with two core focusses:
- Storytelling to showcase British Cycling’s positive social impact and participation, sport, talent and education programmes.
- Producing live and pre-recorded video content to engage, inform and excite British Cycling members, adding to the member value proposition.
- You will be in the heart of our cycling communities. On-the-road across the UK, and at our base at the National Cycling Centre, you will produce high-quality video content, capturing the impact cycling has on individuals and communities. This will span the full breadth of our work, including areas like grassroots participation, talent development, membership and commercial partnerships.
- Close collaboration with colleagues in our Sport and Participation team to raise of the profile of our key initiatives, including our Limitless disability and para-cycling programme, City Academies, the development of BMX freestyle park and our women-only Breeze programme.
- Telling the incredible stories of our members and highlight their achievements through video content.
- Supporting our member value proposition by running live and pre-filmed online webinars and events exclusive for British Cycling members.
- Our work isn’t always 9-5, so occasional evening and weekend work will be required
What we’re looking for:
- You’re a passionate storyteller that can bring narratives to life through video.
- You’re creative, but equally honed on technical workflows with the ability to run live streams, webinars and online events.
- Ideally, you’ll have at least two years experience planning, shooting and editing engaging content.
- You’ll thrive working as part of a passionate in-house marketing and content team with direct links and working relationships with the Sport and Participation department.
- You’ll be confident working with a range people from grassroots cycling communities to British Cycling partners and Great Britain Cycling Team athletes. You will be able to give direction from behind the lens to ensure the very best output.
- From collaborating with colleagues to working with programme delivery partners, stakeholder management and working relationships are at the core of what you do.
- You will have knowledge and experience of live streaming platforms and associated technology.
- While an understanding of cycling is preferable, it’s essential you have a passion for highlighting the impact of sport and physical activity to change lives.
