What will you be doing?
Linked to our new purpose of bringing the joy of cycling to everyone, British Cycling has recently embarked on an exciting new journey. The organisation has a modernised commercial and events offering grounded in social impact and storytelling, harnessing the spotlight and inspiration on Paris 2024 and our growing portfolio of major events.
As part of an exciting new partnership between British Cycling and Warrington Borough Council, we are looking to recruit a part-time Community Developer to lead on cycling initiatives across the town.
Based on a flexible work pattern of 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, the successful candidate will possess the drive, experience and skills to develop Warrington’s cycling offer with a focus on developing initiatives.
Working with Business organisations, Community groups and Educational establishments to develop and implement cycling initiatives as part of a Travel Choice programme.
About you:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Warrington
- Experience of working in a public sector environment
- Experience of cycling and/or sport and the associated physical activity delivery.
- Awareness of current development in cycling in terms of transport, health, and recreational agendas.
- Track record in partnership working and development.
- Experience of partnership programme delivery
- Good organisational and project coordination skills with experience of being able to prioritise, plan and manage competing demands.
- Experience of using social media to promote and engage audiences is desirable but not essential.
