Role Title: Club Development Officer

Salary: £27,000

Location: Manchester (hybrid working available)

About You

We are looking for a motivated individual that is passionate about grassroots sport and supporting people to be active through organized cycling activity. This role will have a particular focus on supporting more girls to experience the joy of cycling, within the British Cycling club network. As well as supporting more people to join a cycling club, regardless of their background or experience in the sport of cycling.

An existing knowledge of cycling is not essential but a willingness to learn and develop your knowledge will be.

An awareness of British Cycling’s purpose “To Bring the Joy of Cycling to Everyone” is also an expectation.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead the creation of new club products, programmes and models to support the growth of girls activity in clubs.
  • Develop project, communication and marketing plans for relevant projects, ensuring they are connected to the wider organisation.
  • Provide excellent service support for clubs looking to grow and develop, specifically clubs that are supporting girls activity.
  • Manage and develop new monitoring & evaluation processes linked to relevant programmes and projects.
  • Represent British Cycling and develop connections external to the organisation in the context of developing and growing female sport.
  • Develop mechanisms to support the transition of riders and groups from Participation Programmes into the affiliated club network.
  • Support the ongoing development of new and existing volunteers within the British Cycling club network

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience of working in programme delivery in a predominantly volunteer led environment
  • Working knowledge and application of marketing and social media
  • Proven experience of delivering against project and operational plans
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Package including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
