Role Overview
British Cycling Tutors are at the heart of developing people through cycling. They inspire learners, bring courses to life, and help shape positive, inclusive experiences across the cycling pathway. As a Tutor, you will use your practical cycling knowledge and strong facilitation skills to create engaging learning environments where people feel welcomed, supported, and confident to develop. Whether delivering online or face-to-face, you will play a key role in helping learners from all backgrounds build skills, confidence, and a lasting connection to cycling.
What We’re Looking For:
Cycling Experience
-
Strong practical cycling experience and a good understanding of the British Cycling landscape.

Relevant coaching, leadership or officials experience within a cycling context.

Appropriate British Cycling coaching and or leadership qualifications.
Tutoring / Teaching / Facilitation Experience

Experience delivering learning to individuals or groups, both online and face to face.

Ability to facilitate inclusive, engaging, and learner centred sessions.

Confidence adapting delivery style to meet different learning needs and abilities.

Clear and confident communication, tailored to a range of audiences.

A strong focus on creating positive learning environments where all participants feel supported and able to contribute.

Experience using learner centred approaches that encourage interaction, reflection, and active participation.

Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to plan and deliver structured sessions that meet required standards.
Digital Learning Skills

Strong IT skills, including experience delivering in virtual classrooms (e.g., Zoom).

Competent use of Microsoft Office and common digital tools used in learning delivery.
