IT Support Technician

Role Title: IT Support Technician
Salary: £32,000 per annum
Contract: Full-Time
Location: Manchester (hybrid working available)

What will you be doing?

  • Providing 1st and 2nd line IT support to colleagues across British Cycling, resolving incidents and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, device and access-related issues across a range of systems and platforms.
  • Managing and prioritising support tickets, ensuring users receive clear updates and resolutions.
  • Supporting new starters, internal role changes and leavers by setting up accounts, devices and access.
  • Administering and supporting Microsoft 365, Azure Entra and device management platforms.
  • Creating and maintaining knowledge articles, user guides and self-service resources to help colleagues get the most from technology.
  • Assisting with IT projects, device deployments and service improvement initiatives across the organisation.
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues and providing friendly, customer-focused support that helps keep the organisation running smoothly.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working in an IT Service Desk, technical support or end-user support environment.
  • Strong customer service skills with a passion for helping people and delivering an excellent support experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and approachable way.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of issues through to resolution.
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 technologies and modern device management tools.
  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to prioritise competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
